Google (Yandex) Maps API not for web (Qt)

Question

Google Maps

We have: Qt 4.7 on the client.
Need to: display the map and put labels on it. With standard features such as dragging, zooming the map itself. Perhaps a reaction to a click on the label.

There is a QMapControl widget on Qt-Apps.org, which seems to be (according to the developer) able to work with Google maps.
