Google Contacts doesn't search my contacts. Why?

Google Contacts (the one that comes with your Gmail account) has a search box at the top.
But it searches for anyone on the Internet and Google+, except for those directly in my address book.
How can I force search only in my contacts?

In fact, it also searches in your contacts, as well as on the Internet and Google+.
You can also switch to the old version (More -> Old version) where it searches only for your contacts.
