Good wireless internet. Myth or not?

Hello everyone, in connection with the admission and moving to St. Petersburg, you will have to change your home high-speed Internet (50 - 100 megabits) to wireless. I ask for help in choosing

2 years ago I had a sad experience with a 3g modem from a megaphone. With the declared maximum speed of 3.6 Mbps, in fact, there were a maximum of 200 kilobits, and constantly the Internet simply refused to work and I chatted for hours with a megaphone support.

But I had it in Saratov, I don’t know how it is in St. Petersburg, so I need your help in finding the best Internet:

  • The speed is not less than 10-15 megabits / sec
  • No crashes
  • At a price of no more than 1000-1200 per month
  • At least 50 GB of traffic (more is better)
  • 4g? Is it worth it? Tell me what's special about it

PS: I was interested in Yota, but on the forums they write that you can’t download torrents through it (the speed is cut to 64 kilobits, is that true?)

I have Yota (St. Petersburg) for several years. Once I refused it due to a bad signal in my habitats.
In the last year, the situation has clearly improved (so much so that I bought a “maximum” year with wired Internet at home). True, the main reason was that Yota suddenly began to show an excellent signal in a village 70 km from St. Petersburg, where I often live in the summer.
I did not observe any restrictions on torrents, but I strongly doubt it. If you want, I can check.

3G - according to personal feelings in St. Petersburg, just the same, Megafon has the best - the signal is full even in the subway, I don’t remember any failures. Before that, there was MTS and Beeline - maybe I was unlucky with coverage, but their Internet in St. Petersburg is terrible.

Peter's center is absolutely wonderful. I'll write torrents later.

Soon it will be a year as I use 4G from Megafon. Excellent internet, speed comparable to DSL. Catches well and in many places. The only drawback may be a 25GB limit, but if you don’t get impudent, then this is enough from your ears. There is also a more expensive tariff, there is like 75GB. I do not regret that I can have this one, it helps. I download torrents every day, there are no restrictions at all, plus no sites are blocked yet, when compared with other providers :)

I see that the topic was created a long time ago, but I'll tell you anyway. Iota is not a bad operator, as he has completely unlimited internet. Personally, I have an Iota modem with a tariff at maximum speed, here on the promobile everything is described in detail about the tariffs. So it works fine for me, the Internet speed is almost 20 Mbps and there are no interruptions, I don’t download torrents a lot, so I haven’t cut the speed yet. But Iota works differently for everyone, it works well for me, but it doesn’t load at all for my neighbor.
