Good mathematical and algorithmic training - what is it?

Here they write in the vacancy on hh.ru: "good mathematical and algorithmic training." If we are talking about 3D modeling, Machine Learning, Data Science or, in general, if the area is indicated, then it is clear what set of theoretical knowledge and practical skills is expected from the candidate.
But if the area is not specified, then in most cases, what would a potential employer want to see?

what in most cases the potential employer wants to see?

In most cases, no mathematical background is needed for programming.
And the examples mentioned - DS / ML / 3D - are just exceptions. That's why they emphasize it.
What the employer wants to see is his dreams. In reality, he will take the one who comes (the best, in his opinion, of course), but those who come, for the most part, do not have any special training.
Therefore, all these requirements about mathematics and algorithms are just dreams. Yes, this preparation will be a plus, it will distinguish you among the candidates. But it doesn’t mean that you won’t be accepted there without a good mathematical background.

The ability to distinguish between O(n)/O(nlogn)/O(n^2) :)
Jokes aside, but not everyone knows this, and it can be useful even if you don't work in Google or VK.
