Glare, the shadow of a ball rolling on a surface?

I can not find the animation (video) of the movement of this type of ball on the surface.
Maybe someone will tell you a resource or explain it this way, because I see a different implementation in toys.
Does the highlight stay in one place, or does it rotate with the ball?
With drawing and shadows, a complete disaster, but I would like to understand.

If the light sources are far enough away, then the highlight stays in place.
If it is close, then the glare shifts a little, but definitely does not roll along with the ball.
UPD. The first line is for the case if the camera also moves synchronously with the ball.
If the camera stands still and the ball rolls past it, or the camera follows the ball, then the glare will move.
