Git keeps a link to a windows account?

Yesterday, by mistake, in one of the intermediate commits, I posted the secret_key for dgango_db. (everything has already been cleaned up, the key has been replaced).

I immediately received a notification from gitguardian that such a nuisance had happened. This is great, but for some reason a notification came to my work mail (!!!).

This is my personal repository, my work is not listed anywhere in its settings. Just nowhere (or I don't know about something). All other notifications (for example, a dropped release build) are sent to personal mail.

I made this commit to a work laptop where I am logged in with a work account (windows) that is linked to my work email. But I did not find any local git settings that would link this account to the git. Moreover, I pushed through the ssh key, which is linked to my personal github account.

Actually, the question is: how was git able to calculate my work mail, and where exactly is this binding stored, how did it arrive on github along with the commit? Any ideas?

UPD. The commits are indeed tied to the windows account. But `git config -l --global` doesn't show user settings.
