Git - getting started?

Hello.
They use git at a new job, I need access to certain repositories, with which I turned to the admins, they told me to generate an SSH key, they showed me an example key, in the example key there is a corporate email address at the end.
I don’t understand what, I need to create a separate account on the github and specify my corp. mail during registration and when generating a key, insert it or what? Is this address linked to an account or not?
I just never worked with a git in a team, so this moment is not clear to me.

@massef

the key is needed so that you can use the git server without a password. the key is generated on the local machine and the github has absolutely nothing to do with it.
