Getting data using XML for android app?

I decided to try my hand at creating an application for android.
Application idea: data is taken from cbr.ru (exchange rates), since they pointed to examples www.cbr.ru/scripts/Root.asp?PrtId=SXML but due to my inexperience, I only understood that you can take data from using xml scripts.
The question arose:
How to make the application read this data and display it on the screen?
Please describe the process in more detail
PS I use Android Studio as an IDE

In my opinion you don't even have a theory, how are you going to practice something? O_O
At least they would start doing something, but then they would ask specific questions, and your "Please describe the process in more detail" is, in my opinion, not a practice .. but please write an application for you

This data can only be displayed on a PC. For mobile, you need to use JSON.
