GeForce GTS 450 or Quadro FX 1800, which graphics card is better?

Good afternoon!
Need help choosing a video card and advice on operation. Now I have 2 video cards. The first one (it works now) is GIGABYTE GeForce GTS 450 . The second one is Leadtek Quadro FX 1800 .
When installing the second one, I ran into a problem: I installed fresh drivers for it from the Nvidia website. After some time, the screen goes blank for a second, after the picture appears. The operating system (Windows 7) displays a message that the video card driver stopped working, but was successfully restored and now everything is fine. This closes the open Photoshop.
I work with Photoshop and Illustrator. I want to achieve maximum performance for these programs. Sometimes I play some games that are not demanding on the system.
Actually, there are two questions: is the second video card really better than the first one? How to set up its stable operation without problems? Thanks in advance!

Test and write. Most interesting.
Purely in terms of performance, a gaming graphics card should be better.
But, given that Nvidia makes zakosy in drivers for specific applications, I won't be surprised at anything.
In particular, the pro versions seem to work better with the Fixed Function Pilpline in OpenGL and have different features for line rendering, which is discouraged by CAD applications.
But for Photoshop, most likely, you need stupid CUDA speed, and it almost completely depends on the frequency and number of CUDA cores.
