Geekbench. What is more important single-core rating and multi-core rating?

There are 2 Mac models:

iMac c with Intel Core i5-2400 @ 3.1 GHz (4 cores) and
MacBook Pro with Intel Core i5-4258U @ 2.4 GHz (2 cores)

iMac has a rating of 665 for one core, 2140 for all
MacBook has rating 639 for one core, 1386 for all

The rating for one core is almost the same. But the multi-core rating will differ quite a lot.
How big will be the difference when working. (for example, with a sketch) One and a half to two times?

Thanks in advance

@Postopoint

you need to understand what the poppy is for and see what is important a lot or single-core
about the same toy software can be found on the forum
https://spectrum.chat/sketch/general/what-is-sketc...
the sketch uses gpu and it seems to be a single core
