From JS to obj-c, swift, iOS-dev. How difficult is the transition and where to start?
Friends, hello everyone.
Gradually I am going to leave the web for iOS development, so the question arose of learning obj-c, swift and newfangled frameworks. To be honest, I have never come across languages such as c / c ++ / obj-c, but I wrote mainly in PL and web hypertext languages: html, css, vanilla JavaScript and frameworks, I tried Python. How difficult will the transition from JS to obj-c, swift be, given the strange specifics of JS as a language? And where would a beginner in iOS development need to start? Perhaps a course at codeschool, treehouse?
Thanks in advance guys :)

JS, like Objective C, belongs to the Algol-like family, so there will be no particular syntax problems. Is it only possible to break the pattern about OOP, since it is implemented in a completely different way in Objective C. Read any general literature , and there you will find a wave. I won’t say that any special difficulties should arise, but in any case, patience and work will grind everything.
Regarding the specifics of JS as a language - even though it is a freak, it is a rather powerful programming language with a cloud of possibilities and a cart of features. Objective C in this regard is much more similar to classic Smalltalk, and compatibility with classic C only adds points in favor of the classics, but Objective C itself still has a somewhat interesting structure.
As for Swift, it is still quite raw and was created taking into account the specifics of iOS development, without experience it is unlikely that you will really understand the improvements, except for some of them. However, there really is no point, but a great attachment to the platform does not bode well.
Now it’s better to start learning swift, yes, it has enough problems, but when they are fixed, you will be a popular programmer, and obj-c will slowly fade away. Yes, and the transition to it is not as complicated as to obj-c
