Freelansim.ru - how to leave a negative review about a freelancer?

Because I had no experience working with freelancers, and in general I trust people in my life, I agreed with one designer to create a template for wordpress. The order was placed for freelancing, and there he contacted me. What do I have now. Spent 5000 rubles, and a psd file instead of a ready-made template. I paid money in advance. psd instead of a template received today. Refuses to do the job. Well, he thinks he won, I think he lost. The question is how to warn customers against an unscrupulous freelancer? I did not find an employee assessment system on freelancing.

Usually a designer creates a design - an image. And the layout designer creates a template. And not always these two works are performed by one person. If you are working with a designer, you will get a psd, or some other format. But in any case, it will be an image, not a template for WordPress (which should be in html). In your case, an inexperienced designer did not bother to ask what kind of “wordpress template” you want, you did not bother to chew to the designer what you want from him. This is a well-known problem in freelancing, when the customer explains the task in a nutshell, the freelancer does everything as he understood, as a result, the customer is not satisfied. You should not leave any feedback anywhere, this is a lesson primarily for you, so that you can clearly and in detail describe the task and what you want to receive. Well, you can personally unsubscribe to a freelancer,

From the point of view of the designer, in fact, everything is correct. If it was not specified that the "template for WordPress" should be in html / css and assembled for the WordPress installer.
After all, what was said to him, based on the topic? “We need a template for Worpress”
So he probably reasoned:
- so, Worpress is a blog?
- we need a feed of messages
- we need a calendar
- we need a comment form
and so on ...
That is how he probably perceived the “template for Worpress”. Starting precisely in part of their area, from the available data. Well, since the designer is still not a typesetter. That is all natural because 99% of the work of a web designer is given either in a picture or in a psd file. And only a few do immediately in css / html. And a very small amount will also give you an engine or deploy a free one.

It is a strange idea to give money to a stranger without any guarantees at all. It may come as a shock to you, but you could well not get the psd . And in general, do not meet again :)
I try to do something like this:
discussed
the performer did.
the performer showed (here is an important point. The coder shows on his hosting. The designer - a reduced version of the picture (png. The layout designer also usually sends pictures)
payment is transferred.
the result is sent.
In this scenario, the interest of the parties in continuing the relationship remains until the very last stage.
It's not a silver bullet, of course.
But in general, yes. Freelancing just needs a list of projects with evaluations from both sides.

Experience in freelancing suggests that when you “trust” people, it usually goes sideways =/
ps and what exactly did you write in the TOR?

How would you put it in simple terms ...
You wanted to buy a car. We found a place where it costs 450,000 rubles, and in other places 550,000 rubles.
You are happy to buy. But here it turns out that there is no climate control, the interior is not the same, and the rugs are missing ...
Bad sellers rub you in about the fact that you bought the “basic package” and should, since this is important, clarify what is included in the kit in advance ...
Perhaps, these sellers have nothing but the basic one, and they can’t even supply you with everything you want for a surcharge ...
Who is to blame? All. One did not warn, perhaps due to inexperience, the other, for the same reason, did not ask.
For a long time, when I was still practicing web design, I was forced not only to organize the layout, but also to fill it in and fill it in ... At the price of design.

I want to leave a review about working with a freelancer and warn users:
Ilya Isakov (front-end, layout designer). Kazakhstan.
I didn’t finish the project, backed out of the agreements, disappeared with the payment.
I didn’t want to go to the world, I didn’t consider a compromise.
Here are screenshots of the correspondence:
