Freelance ASP.NET - promising and how much?

I'm learning C++, after half a year of studying I want to switch to the main direction (which I haven't chosen yet).
Will ASP.NET be popular in freelancing/remote work in a year or two (if remote work - CIS, if freelancing - upwork)?
I did not find ASP.NET growth statistics (maybe I was looking badly).

This is a technology for the enterprise, not for startups.
Not good for remote work.
Good for office work.

She won't give you anything. You can look at Java for an example - the technology is in the top of popularity, but it is not available on freelance (with the exception of Android).
