FreeBSD without x11, java. Selenium any chance?

FreeBSD with non-JAVA and X11 flags. Now there is a need to run acceptance tests.
Does selenium need java? and will it be enough to remove the flags before installing selenium so that all dependencies are pulled up, including Java and X?
