FreeBSD 8.0 vs 8.1

Question for BSD people.
How popular is 8.0 among servers right now?
Would it be an adequate step not to support it in your software for the sake of 8.1 features?

8.0 should not be supported, as already on November 30, 2010 8.0 will overtake End of Life.

Admins are lazy people. If I have a server in production (under load) with 8.0 (and the break between 8.0 and 8.1 was enough for everyone who wanted to install the eight for themselves), then I'm unlikely to update it to 8.1
