Free software for remote control (Windows)?

You need software for remote control of a PC with the following requirements:

  • Free for use in a non-profit organization (university)
  • LAN connection without Internet access (i.e. not like in TeamViewer)

At the moment, all I could find is Ultra VNC, but the program is very crude, the video is transmitted with lags, text input from the keyboard is very difficult. RDP is not suitable, the user needs to see my actions.

RDP in remote shadow mode does what you need, only it has a few specific uses, but on a local network it is quite a working solution, besides, in Windows out of the box, it does not require extra software (only Windows settings) and performance is likely to be better competitors.

Try aeroadmin . On the license comparison page, you can see the features of the free version.

As an alternative solution, you can use the simple Ammyy Admin program ammyy.admin.ideaprog.download
It seems to be well known among sysadmins, often used to remotely control the server
