Formation, preview and printing of documents

The task was to generate, display for preview and then print (including through a browser) documents (originals in doc). I would like to find a simple way to solve this problem, especially on many large services there is a similar one (for example, the same elba allows you to output a document as images and generate doc and pdf), but a quick google did not allow me to find any solution :(

I decided to try to use the vaunted svg (I connect via img, because the object could not be printed at all) and severely broke down: it does not work in old IE (there are crutches like svgweb), multiline text is missing (solvable, through crutches), the text itself in the browser displayed without anti-aliasing (it looks ugly, but it can be tolerated), but when printing, full ahtung: IE / chrome “vector? I haven't heard... I'll scale it like a regular picture.", opera "svg? O_O where?

there’s nothing...” (prints an empty sheet, although everything is on the preview), and only ff prints better than it shows. In general, it turned out to be absolutely not usable :( documents are also welcome.

+1 to conversion. If your documents are more complicated than a set of paragraphs and tables (for example, pictures, complex layout, different fonts), then it will be very difficult to please all users. For example, you won't be able to guess what browser extensions and what printer settings a user has. And it will be you who will be blamed for the wrong printing.
