For someone who wants to better understand the architecture of a computer - it's logical.

Many will disagree with me, but I believe that Tanebaum's "Computer Architecture", "Computer Networks" and "Modern Operating Systems" are required reading for all beginners.

The question is posed incorrectly, since the action in the question (read a book) is orders of magnitude less significant than the goal (get a profession, work). It's like asking, "If I learn to tie my shoelaces, which mountain above five thousand meters can I climb?" You didn’t get beaten up in MMORPG, by any chance, where one found artifact determines the entire development of the character?
The book gives very basic knowledge, does not determine the future profession, at the beginning of training it is worth reading for anyone who wants to understand architecture.
