There is such a task:
From one font to make two, in which in the first all letters are aligned to the left edge of the font cell, and in the second to the right.
For example:

Recommend the program.
I tried FontForge - but terribly buggy and did not find how to move all the letters at once and reduce them.

Fontlab studio, not free, but it definitely has group operations.
