Flashlight at the touch of a button

Do not tell me if there are applications that turn on the flash (like a flashlight) by pressing the software (physical) button on the phone, regardless of whether it is locked or not. Platform android 4. Or maybe you can hint how to implement it, I will be very grateful.

There are plenty of remappers , but they require root naturally. But these are exactly remappers, and not attaching functions to buttons.
In general, it is unlikely that anything can be done from the locked state, without changes in the kernel, because the device is sleeping, and should not wake up when you press the "regular" buttons, otherwise the battery will burn. The only thing you can hang this on is with a long press on the power button (there was such a feature in one of the firmware on Desire HD).
For example, in Cyanogenmod, you can turn on / off the flashlight by long pressing on HOME (or others), but only after turning on the screen (it is not necessary to unlock it).

Desire S, MIUI - when you hold the "house", the flashlight lights up. How implemented - xs, but suddenly the information is useful.

If the option of a button on the screen is being considered, then I can recommend the Power Toggles widget.
