Firebase firestore expo data query?

Connected to the expo firebase 9.6.1 project, I can’t figure out how to implement a get request? there is a post in the documentation - everything is in order with it, I see that there is a getDocs function, but it refuses to work).
There are only methods on the net for older versions of firebase.
Can you tell me the method of getting data from firestore?
