Final Cut vs DaVinci Resolve 16?
Final Cut Pro X vs DaVinci Resolve 16. Requirements:
- Video 4K 30 FPS H.264 + 4K 60 FPS H.265; before processing in Final Cut is converted to
ProRes 422.
- Editing from 2 cameras; 3 layers of video, 2-3 audio.
- Gluing, work with speed.
- Easy florist (loot or tame).
- Effects: stabilization, transition, 2D titles, mask, tracking.
- Use of 3-5 plugins (to create effects).
- Playing in real time without loss of quality, without brakes, develop microfreezes.
- Run without brakes (microfreezes are acceptable, occasional stuttering.
- Render time is unimportant (within reason).
Machine: Macbook Pro Retina, 13-inch, mid-2014: Intel Core i7 2.2 GHz 4 cores 16 GB.
Comparison criteria:
1. Speed (not rendering), optimization.
2. Simplicity and convenience of work, interface.
3. The quantity and quality of plugins, effects, their uniqueness, and most importantly, their availability (is it possible to download for free by torrent, and how difficult is it to do).
4. Possibilities of built-in functionality, as well as the possibility of its extension by plug-ins, their optimization, quality and diversity, the main thing is accessibility (free).

In the approach to work, these are two different things. Resolve node. It's like step by step. How it looks, you can see in any introductory video. In both cases, you need to work with video through proxy files. Even a very fast system, and even in an editing codec, will stutter at this resolution. With plug-ins it is difficult to judge, it is not known what kind are needed.
Resolve is harder to learn, FCPX is close to the common NLE paradigm. Resolve is just taking over the NLE market, FCPX has already done a lot of work. For small projects, subjectively, this is the fastest and easiest option.
