Filling cells depending on the current date. How?
Good to everyone!
I will try to describe the essence of the problem in sufficient detail and clearly, if it does not work out, ask clarifying questions.
Excel has a function "=TODAY()" which, all of a sudden(! :)), displays the current date. As I understand it, it is dynamic and every time the book is launched, it will be updated. From here I had an idea, but I do not know how to implement it using standard tools without macros:
There is a "Sheet1" on which there will be a cell with this date. There is also a table with the name of the type of work and integer values that are entered manually.
There is a "Sheet2" in which a table with enlarged Headers, i.e. groups that include works from Sheet 1. In the next cell, the sum of the incoming types of work from Sheet 1 is put.
For example:
In Sheet 1 - plaster, putty, coloring.
A person in Sheet 1 puts "Plaster - 1", "Putty - 1", "Painting - 1" every day (numbers in a separate cell, of course). And in Sheet 2 in the "Malyarka" section there will be the number 3.
The next day, the numbers in Sheet 1 are reset to zero (or reset manually), filled in again during the day and the data is recorded in Sheet 2 on the appropriate date and the desired category.
In essence, it is important to figure out how to make automatic entry of values in Sheet 2 with general categories depending on the date.
How can this be done and is it realistic?
