Files not being deleted?
Once upon a time, when moving from XP to Win7, I made a backup copy of some files. After changing the OS, I could not delete the backup - it says that I have no rights, and the files belong to an unknown owner. Until today, I just scored on the problem) Today I tried it - everything is the same. It is not possible to change the rights, to add the owner (now this field is generally empty) also does not work. Tell me, please, how can I overwrite this folder or some software.
UPD: I am grateful to everyone for the help, but please be careful. I already tried to change the rights and the owner , you should not suggest this in the comments.

Use a LiveCD if you really don't want to figure out why you can't delete them properly.
mirror.yandex.ru/ubuntu-releases/10.10/ubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386.iso
Write to a disc/flash drive, boot up, erase the muck. There is no need to reboot into Windows.
sourceforge.net/projects/gparted/files/gparted-live-stable/0.8.0-1/gparted-live-0.8.0-1.iso/download - download less of this.
Unlocker is free and Russian. Helped me with all these issues.
www.avege.ru/russian/programs/unlocker.shtml here you can read the manual and download.
this thing will add to the menu by shift + right click the item "take ownership and set full acces"
found in the open spaces, about two years ago.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\runas]
@="take ownership and set full access"
"Extended"=""
"NoWorkingDirectory"=""
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\runas\command]
@="cmd.exe /c takeown /f \"%1\" && icacls \"%1\" /grant administrators:F"
"IsolatedCommand"="cmd.exe /c takeown /f \"%1\" && icacls \"%1\" /grant administrators:F"
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\runas]
@="take ownership and set full access"
"Extended"=""
"NoWorkingDirectory"=""
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\runas\command]
@="cmd.exe /c takeown /f \"%1\" /r /d y && icacls \"%1\" /grant administrators:F /t"
"IsolatedCommand"="cmd.exe /c takeown /f \"%1\" /r /d y && icacls \"%1\" /grant administrators:F /t"
Right click on the folder -> Security -> Advanced -> Owner -> Edit
Then in the security tab give yourself full rights.
And you delete through what? explorer or some other file manager?
On the seven, elevation is needed for such actions, even if your account is an administrator, you still need to run the file manager (or explorer) “as an administrator”.
Have you tried deleting it or changing the owner?
Download this program here (we don’t pay attention to the name - everyone laughs). We unpack to drive C, disable the antivirus and unload it (you can first check the file so as not to be afraid).
The archive contains an anti-rootkit, a logical Chinese continuation of the well-known and also Chinese IceSword project. It will allow you to access the disk at a low level. Run it, go to Files, choose what to delete - right click - force delete.
