Fast switching between systems on a home-work desktop?

I work under Windows and for Windows (programmer). I would also like to try using Linux as well (since some Linux development tools are made better / more convenient), but putting the systems in parallel and restarting the computer every time to switch the system is not an option. I want some magic. You work under Windows, pressed the button (selected a menu item in the program, waved a magic wand, etc.) - and the system switched. Once again, switched back. I would like the state of the system to remain the same when returning to it (but the parallel simultaneous operation of two systems is not at all necessary - that is, if the processes stop when switching to another system, then it is not at all critical). And I don’t want to use a virtual machine (like, under Windows we run VMWare / VirtualBox, on which Linux is),
Is there some kind of magic that will allow you to do this?
PS I have already read similar old questions on the toaster, but a) something has probably changed in a few years and b) I would like some more or less simple stable system and understandable ( for noobs ) instructions.
PPS Core i5 processor with virtualization support, 12 Gb memory, integrated Intel video (but in the near future I will most likely install a GeForce 1080 - that is, it will be possible to separate GeForce under Windows and Intel under Linux). The main Windows 7 system, I want in parallel, for example, Linux Mint (well, you could also feel Windows 10).

Don't invent a bicycle. The configuration of your hardware is quite suitable for the comfortable operation of 2x OS at the same time. Through the same Virtualbox or VmVarya.
on poppies, this is in Parallels, where the virtual machine is integrated into the poppy, it works both with the integration of Windows into the poppy and other operating systems into the poppy
If you don’t want a virtual machine, then there are 2 options left:
Either CoLinux , or a second system unit and KVM
Theoretically, XenClient solves such a problem, but since it was aimed at everything else, it can work, or maybe not, and if it doesn’t work, you can’t force it in any way. XenClient is a hyper, which is placed on iron, and axes are placed inside it. It won't work. I tried many times to get this solution, but it did not work. Came to what - linux bare-methal, in it through KVM Windows. Again, only old games will work, but I didn’t do it for games.
