Failed to establish connection in skype (Ubuntu)?
Just installed skype and can't see connection, ubuntu version 15.10

See the version of Skype you are installing.
After some next version change, the protocols are incompatible (should be 4.3.0.37).
And even better - use the Skype WEB-interface
