F2/User menu with submenu like in Far manager under linux (centos 8)?
Good afternoon.
Under Windows, for work, I made a branched menu in the spotlight, because of the number of items it was divided into groups and collected in a submenu. Running builds/tests/whatever in different directories, etc.
I would like to do the same under Linux, but the problem is that midnight commander does not support nesting (and, it seems, parameters). I looked at Double commander and others for graphics, they don't have a user menu at all.
What else can be used? Is there any commander with a normal user menu?
Or some console implementations for building menus?
Or some other options?

mc in terms of user interface is still in the stone age. and apparently, few people are going to pull it out from there.
