External storage for two esxi servers?

There are two dl380 gen9 in the vmware cluster, filled with 8 2.5 sas disks in raid6, they have virtual machines with ad / dns / dhcp, zabbix, a file server, a terminal server, virtual machines for tests and several virtual machines with ms sql + 1c, all small , and one for 70 users. The place on the raids is running out, more than 50% is already occupied, there is no way to turn off the servers without turning off the virtual machines, and the responsiveness of 1s is getting worse. Google says that storage is required here, move virtual machines there and set up a connection to both servers. Advise what is better to take for this task from inexpensive solutions? Will one storage system be enough, or do I need to take two with replication? Is it possible to continue to keep 1s with the rest of the virtual machines, or do you need a separate server and a separate storage system for it?

For the sake of two servers of sense in DWH - is not present.
The cost of storage systems that are sane in terms of performance is such that you can buy 4 more servers for ESX.
