External keyboard not working on MacBook, what should I do?

Hi everybody!
I have a MacBook Pro and an external keyboard (also apple) like this , I tried to connect the keyboard in all possible ways, but anyway, the result is the same. Despite the fact that the keyboard itself works properly on PC computers. What to do?
