Ext2Fsd driver error. After connecting the Ext4 file system, it prompts you to format the disk. What to do?
Hello.
I have two operating systems on my laptop - Windows 10 Pro and Kubuntu. There was a need from under Windows to have access to the Linux file system.
I downloaded the necessary Ext2Fsd driver for such cases, performed all the actions according to the instructions: lifehacker.ru/kak-v-windows-poluchit-dostup-k-svoi...
After mounting, a disk appears, but when I try to enter, a message pops up:
"The disk is damaged and offers to format it.
There were two attempts in total. After the first unsuccessful attempt, I reset the entire Windows (virginally naked without any programs, only the main drivers)
OS data:
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Kubuntu 18.04 64-bit
I thought that the problem was in the hardware and repeated the experiment in virtualbox:
Widows 10
Linux Mint
The same
Maybe someone has come across or have ideas how to fix the situation?

Most likely, the Ext2Fsd service is not running.
Tools Menu->Service Management->Start.
If, after trying to start, a message is displayed that could not start, then driver authentication may be interfering. At least that's how it was for me. Turned it off, it worked. At one's own risk.
