Export to OpenRaster for photoshop?
There is no desire to keep and pay for Photoshop (Photoshop Elements) under Linux.
GIMP's PSD support is terrible and can't get any better.
There is an OpenRaster format . My search for a plugin for photoshop to export to OpenRaster turned up nothing. Maybe someone found it?
I would like to cut drawings for layout using GIMP, and it just supports OpenRaster. Although OpenRaster is under development. Will there be problems with this?
So, is it possible to make a plug-in for Photoshop that adds export support to OpenRaster? And how much will it cost to write a plugin?
Why am I all this. Crowdfunding. If there are no obstacles, then why not use crowdfunding to create an opensource photoshop plugin to support OpenRaster?
What is needed for this?
1. A programmer who could write a plugin. Or programmers.
2. Estimate the cost - money is the best motivation.
3. Place on some crowdfunding service. If on kickstarter.com, then a person with excellent knowledge of English would not put it.
4. People who are willing to invest a small amount in this project and bring the idea to others. There is already one person - it's me ;). Are there others who want to?
PS. It can be done as a service - the file is exported to .ora, uploaded to the server and gives a download link (and maybe for cutting pictures online). You can enable ads or private links for extra. payment to support the project and the site.

You still suffer with GIMP, there are no slices (as far as I remember), no Save for Web dialog with high-quality export of graphics in different formats. Plus (if my memory serves me right), GIMP works much worse with heavy files with a lot of layers.
Plus, there are no vector shapes or layer effects in GIMP. And I don't remember if there are masks and a clipping mask. How will you deal with them? Rasterize and lose data? Or leave them in ora and not see them in gimp?
In my opinion, GIMP is still not a layout program, but a program for editing photos or drawing simple pictures with a pen.
