Explain how eslint+prettier works?

As far as I understand, when setting up work in a pair of eslint and prettier, all settings that exist both there and there are disabled in eslint and are taken from prettier. If the prettier config is empty then its default settings are used. Let's say I take airbnb as my eslint ground rules. I want the settings for quotes, semicolons, etc. were taken from the rules of the linter. How can I make prettier follow these rules or how can I get all these rules of the base caster(s) (without going through each one manually)?
