Experience, practice in android?

Guys, tell me what you can write, what application to get experience in android dev, I'm just starting this path and therefore I need practice

Find any open API site you are interested in, and write some simple client for it, with a few activities, snippets, error messages, etc. Thus, get the basic skills of writing applications (activity's lifecycle, fragments, dialogs).
I think it would be useful to immediately try some open libraries, such as Picasso, Retrofit, Otto Eventbus.
