Excel/LibreOffice: Why doesn't the SUMIF (SUMIF) function work?

For example, line F6:

=SUMIF($C$3:$C$100;"*продукты*";$B$3:$B$100)+SUMIF($C$3:$C$100;"*обед*";$B$3:$B$100)

or F5:

=SUMIF($C$3:$C$100;"*Мегафон*";$B$3:$B$100)+SUMIF($C$3:$C$100;"*Yota*";$B$3:$B$100)+SUMIF($C$3:$C$100;"провайдер";$C$3:$C$100)

According to the article , for F6 it should sum up all inclusions of the words "products" or "lunch", but it shows zeros.
If you remove the asterisks, it summarizes normally, but my phrases may vary ("lunch at a cafe", just "lunch", etc.).
