Excel equivalent for Linux for simulation?

At the university, we study Simulation Modeling, a few labs are made in Excel. I have Linux on my laptop, there is no desire to install "windows". To perform the lab, I need: RNG, correlation, covariance, descriptive statistics. Are there alternatives to excel for linux with the right functionality?

if the labs are not tied to BASIC, do it in libre.
as a virtual machine option to play with wine. This is a Windows emulator, it starts a little more directly. and under excel it was sharpened.
just take an older excel.
Yes, and in life to be able to wine is useful.

For the delivery of the "labka", presumably, the XLS format is also supposed to be at the same time? Then the question does not make sense, because you are taught not mathematics, but MS Office.
And so - there is, for example, such a list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_open-source_...
