Good day.

I would be glad if you rate the design/functionality of the new site. Direction - information site.
After that, articles on a similar design will be published on the site.
Thanks to everyone!

And what kind of information site is this, when information is spread over a dozen screens? A normal information resource should concentrate information.

I'm certainly not a great designer, but I'll be more verbose than my colleagues so to speak.
To start, here's what I think of the current design:

  1. I don't think the color palette is bad, except for the quote block on the "About" page, the gradient is too harsh and the black font color doesn't fit.
  2. The header is too simple, try adding an animated background/slider, or I think the character-by-character output "Please rate this page" will look great here, you can combine it, but don't overload it.
  3. Section "Popular articles". The idea of alternating the position of the image and the card as a whole does not look bad on paper, but after implementation it becomes clear: "something is wrong", I think you looked at them and thought: "It seems not bad, but something is wrong" a little more on this below. Also here, as throughout the site, there is another problem that I will also describe below.
  4. The gradient background of the "pre-basement" part does not fit into the color palette at all, I think it would be better to make the basement itself larger in height and the information "Have any questions?" and "[email protected]" should be moved to the footer, and the indent on top of the social. make the footer icons bigger since you gave them such a big hover shadow.
  5. "articles" page. in themselves, such cards are not new, and they have been used successfully for a long time, here I just want to note that you should not make the default shadow as well as the hover shadow so explicit, try to make it a little softer, and it would not be bad to add to them also information about the date, author, category and spice it all up with icons.
  6. The "Interesting" page besides the quote block I mentioned earlier, I would like to point out that you chose a shade of blue for the "b" tag, this is not a good idea as the web has taught people that text with a shade of blue is most often a link, and the person instinctively directs at her, expecting this.

In general, if this is one of the first jobs, then believe me, it could have been worse))
Now I want to give some advice, and so here they are:
  • In your design, one of the basic rules is violated everywhere - the "rule of internal and external", be sure to google it, there is more than enough material on this topic, as soon as you start using it you will see for yourself how the site will change, it should be applied not only on "text blocks but also in relation to all elements on the page"
  • I also advise you to read or watch a video on YouTube about typography in a graph. design. For example , it contains more than enough information to start, and again, do not forget to combine the knowledge gained.
  • That's what I was talking about when I described the "Popular articles" section. There is such a concept in design as the "F-pattern", I will not describe it here, there are people who did it for me and did it much better, when you read about it and combine this knowledge with the rule that I mentioned above, you will understand what was wrong and why it seemed wrong.
  • And the last thing, I'm not quite sure, but it seems that you made up this site from what is called "from your head". My personal experience shows that it's always better to spend a day or even two on design in a program that was created for this and then just make up according to the template. There are a lot of tools for this: Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, XD, Figma, etc. Personally, I use Figma, it's free, available on all devices and provides good functionality.

One way or another, I'm sure there will be people who disagree with me, but this is what is called IMHO =)
I hope I could help you. =)

Design in isolation from content - well, that's it.
