Etherium memory in contracts?

there is an etherium smart contract, with each transaction (request) some data is created, they somehow need to be stored in an array,
for example ['string'] = 'bla bla';
and then call with another query after any period of time using the index ('string''),
i.e. how can you permanently store the data and access it?
