esxi 5.0 update?

There is an esxi 5.0 hypervisor and a virtual machine on windiws 2008 on it. The hypervisor is installed on a USB flash drive. Is it possible to take another flash drive and put esxi 6.0 there, and then add datastores. And in them already find this virtual machine and add it to the inventory ??? Will it work like that? Or just roll updates?
