Error on npm install after git clone https://github.com/Esri/participatory-planning.git?

I'm trying to deploy "participatory-planning" to my host using the link: https://github.com/Esri/participatory-planning
As described here:
"To run the source code locally, do the following:
git clone https://github.com/ Esri/participatory-planning.git
cd participatory-planning/
npm install
npm run start # serves application at localhost:8080 "

And when I run npm install in my terminal embedded in VSCode, I get the following error:
npm WARN moment-locales-webpack [email protected] requires a peer of [email protected]^2.8.0 but none is installed. You must install peer dependencies yourself.
I am far from it. Can you suggest how to do it?
