During installation of visual studio 2015 community, I get the error "Visual Studio 2015 Prerequisites : The Windows Installer does not allow updates to be applied to managed advertised products. At least one of the product components must be installed to apply the update.
".

It seems to me that you downloaded the update-only distribution, i.e. such an installer that is placed on top of the already installed Studio and updates it. Where did you download it from, what link?
