Enterprise antispam?
Dear All, and advise from practice of the decision an antispam for an enterprise-scale (5-7 thousand boxes).
I know about Ironport (and the prices too), but I want reviews about alternatives, how adequately it works in the Russian Federation, etc.
I don’t consider solutions like Spamassassin, because they require constant supervision and finishing. I want to turn it on and forget it.
Hardware solutions are also being considered.

Have you looked at McAfee Email Protection / ContentSecurity? They are also available in the cloud. Fortinet still has solutions, but it makes sense to bother with it if you also need an ME.
We have Ironport in our company and I am very pleased with it. Prior to its installation, several hundred spam emails a day fell on one person in the company. After installation, a maximum of 1 (one) spam jumps in two or three days, and often there is nothing for weeks. Reputation screening of nodes - about 300,000 nodes per month, it does not allow them to connect and load the main mail system. And this despite the fact that we have Ironport for 200 boxes. Piece of iron - for free (after upgrading to a new version, you will have a good rack server - Dell OEM :) subscription - 70 tr. in year. I think he earns 99% of his money. It needs a thicker channel - database updates can sometimes be several hundred MB per day.
Kasper was on our Lotus Notes - it was demolished, it often loaded the mail server too much.
Look at www.spamexperts.com . I work for this company. We can offer both filtering of all mail using our cloud, and Local Cloud - i.e. our software runs on your hardware, all maintenance work is done by us.
Inside - Exchange, external gate - Exim, but this is not the point. You can put any, if it results in reasonable money.
In the limit, this is Ironport, but before asking the management to allocate one and a half hundred kilodollars, I must at least offer options.
I would recommend SpamTitan www.spamtitan.com (I know I'm late with the answer, but still)…
