Encrypting user phone numbers through RedBean?

Good day! I am writing my first authorization on the service. People will register and log in using their phone number. All this will be stored in the database. Is it possible to encrypt phone numbers in case the database is leaked so that the numbers do not come out? I want to use the RedBean plugin which has good encryption. Thanks in advance for your reply!

Encryption is not a problem. Only if these numbers are also used somewhere, then they will have to be decrypted. This means that an attacker who has gained access to your server will merge not only the database, but also scripts, including decrypting phone numbers.
