Elementary OS: How do you properly set up a remote desktop?

In general, such a task arose, you need to set up an additional user on Elementary OS for remote use. Installed xrdp, after connecting to it (authorization is normal), a solid background is seen without a hint of the desktop, a little time passes and the client closes on its own. After that, without thinking for a long time, I downloaded and launched RealVNC from their own off site, launched the server, connected through the viewer (vncviewer) and everything seems to be fine, but no! The mouse and keyboard do not work .. But the desktop is visible. What should I do? I tried to change the .xsession settings for this user, it did not help (even downloaded some gnome-session-fallback). Xrdp also doesn't display the screen when the user is active. What could be the problem, what config to correct and where to go to fix the impending problem?
