Education and work in IT. Easy entry?
Please help me decide on a career and choice of direction. I am 43 years old, graduated from Moscow State Technical University named after Bauman (aircraft automatic control systems). More than 10 years of experience in sales of consumer electronics with large federal networks, the last 2 years - sales of IT solutions in a large integrator. Tired of cold sales, and sales in general. A great desire to engage in some kind of real production or organizational activity, and not to go where you are not expected. Ready for training. The question is, which areas should you pay attention to in the first place? Where is the easiest entry and the biggest shortage of specialists? I would like, of course, that the previous organizational experience and sales experience were not in vain, but how will it turn out. And where is the best place to study? Thank you.

Where is the easiest entry and the biggest shortage of specialists?- in sales of IT solutions he is. If you are now a salesperson in a large integrator, why don't you go directly to software consulting, and then to development? There is always something to start small.
Several of my friends and close relatives 30+ have recently successfully retrained as 1C developers / analysts and were able to get a job pretty quickly. It's funny, but those who worked before in sales (not IT) are quite happy that they were able to change their lives, solve interesting problems and not beat their heads on cold sales. Those who were able to immediately get a remote job are generally in ecstasy.
Yes, you have an excellent education and import substitution awaits you in a superjet
Good afternoon! I am 45, a year ago I took a course in analytics. Now I work remotely, really in ecstasy!))
In the past, too, sales, a lot of things came in handy. For example, the ability to hear and negotiate, the skill of quickly studying the subject area.
I chose the courses as follows: I found and asked a person who completed these courses and got a job, clarified all the pros and cons, the risks of training and the subsequent device.
The courses were tough, I didn’t give up and studied at the maximum, plus I absorbed a bunch of additional information. I found a job 3 months after the course.
I will add that when I went to study, I did not really understand what an analyst was. The goal was to understand and, if it suits, to become the best novice specialist and tear your claws in IT! And now, already in the atmosphere of IT, I develop further.
This is my experience and I think curiosity helped a lot, and that there are a lot of interesting and unknown things here.
1. Business analyst
2. Big shortage of specialists - yes, the easiest entry is not a fact! possible - yes
3. Experience will come in handy, review it and reformulate it based on the requirements in the vacancy
4. Order Skills, First step into analytics
Good luck to you!
