Editing default-widgets.php… Is it worth it?

I bring to mind my blozhek on WP.
Is it worth adding style classes directly to default-widgets.php or is it fraught with problems? To be honest, I don't want to complicate things. BUT I have a vague idea that perhaps the simplest solution != the best.

And when a new version is released, what will you do? It is not recommended to pick the CMS engine, the consequences are unknown.

No, modifying WP system files is highly discouraged.
it is more correct to create new widgets and connect them via functions.php inside the theme.

Better as a separate plugin so that even when you change the theme, your widgets do not break.
