eCommerce platform for a large catalog

Which eCommerce / WebShop / Catalog distance retail platforms makes sense to use for high-load catalogs with hundreds of thousands of products? Are there any smart licensed or boxed platforms, or is everyone writing from scratch?

If the keyword is “highly loaded”, then write from scratch, or rather, using CMF - this is far from zero and much more reliable.

As an option, I can offer TomatoCart
. There was an experience of using it for an online store with about 20,000 products, the engine justified itself. Maybe it’s suitable for your case ...

I'm playing around with Magento, it's quite powerful, but more than 100k items is starting to get silly
