Easy messenger - make calls while working in Teamviewer?

Recommend an easy messenger to make calls while working in Teamviewer

I have Linux, so there is no voice call function in Teamviewer, alas.
Parents have windows.

When I go to teamviewr on their laptop, I need to speak at the same time, and I tried skype, viber, etc. Everything is inconveniently slow on Windows, especially when the video is chasing - either the processor power is not enough, or the Internet speed.
Maybe the reason is in the weak graphics. laptop map - but the skype interface takes a very long time to be drawn in teamviewer

I need an extremely simple messenger to call one addressee - only from my computer only to my laptop. Ideally, a console one, or in general, hanging in the form of a service on a windows laptop.

Is there such a thing?

If the bandwidth of the parents is less than 500 kbps, it doesn’t matter what telephony you use, since the teamviewer eats it up completely. And the issue with telephony clients is not so much related to the name of the client, but to the voip codec that this client uses. The cart varies from 10 to 64 kbps, depending on the quality of the Internet channel. Skype seems to be about 30 (about Skype, my info could be outdated by 5 years).
I would act as follows. I would try to connect to them via RDP from Windows (namely from Windows, because xfreerdp also "eats" quite a lot of traffic, unlike the native Windows client.
It is clear that this requires either a static IP address or a configured DynDNS, and, of course, port forwarding from the router to the laptop (well, so that the laptop has an edition of Windows features RDP server). Yes, there are too many conditions, but this is the most optimal and one hundred percent option to improve comfort at work.
Another option is to try to reduce the TeamViewer image quality to 8bit, if it is available in the teamviewer.
In short, the problem is with the channel bandwidth of the parents.

telegrams are excluded (the garbage dump is still the same. Reasons for a long list), even though it is on my virtual machine.
just sip telephony is interesting. Linux has baresip, a handy command line client. if there is something similar and preferably with open source, the problem is solved
