"E: Some index files failed to download." on apt-get update?

You need to upgrade PHP from 5.4 to 5.6. Added repo:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ondrej/php5-5.6
When calling apt-get update, an error appears: Error
text . Before that, I updated PHP on another server, nothing like that happened. What could be the problem?
Googled, cleared the cache - did not help.

sudo apt-get install -f is usually a panacea :)
