Driver Pack is able to determine and install drivers on the computer itself?

And what if the computer is old (6 years old) and there were no drivers for hardware on the 8th windows, but I want to install it on the 10th. Can a computer work with those minimal drivers that are immediately built into the OS? Or is it better not to put anything above the 7th Windows? Just reinstall 7ku?

Occasionally using Driver Pack Solution , I can answer - yes, I can. But there is one caveat - this DPS in the current version is online and is focused on Win10 and Win8, but before version 15 it was offline, fit on one DVD and worked fine on both Win7 and WinXP.
In each next version, the authors remove obsolete drivers to reduce the size of the database, but if the latest version does not suit you, nothing prevents you from finding the old version on the Web and using it offline.
(I will add to this: the online version works disgustingly, well, or I don’t know how to cook it, but the disk version worked perfectly - it recognized the drivers automatically, and correctly, and allowed those who wished to manage the installation process manually).

It all depends on what components this computer is assembled from. Windows 10 installs and works fine on computers from 2008+ (Intel C2D, I didn’t try it on older ones), but it was not possible (in the usual way) to install on a 2011 Asus netbook due to the lack of a driver for the video adapter. But with the help of "google" everything turned out :).
