Dremel? Engraver, grinder, grinder. Which to choose?

You need a tool like a drill with a bunch of nozzles for manual production or “finishing with a file” of complex-shaped parts made of aluminum, duralumin, less often steel. Sometimes all sorts of polymers, refinement of products from composites ala epoxy + fiberglass. I do not do artistic things, rather any DIY. Therefore, sawing, cutting, milling is necessary, but decorating glass with patterns is not.

So: a variable speed is very good, the ability to put different collets to clamp nozzles of different diameters is good, a flexible shaft is also great, especially if the device is massive. The more nozzles in the kit, the better, there is no desire to buy something else (they are not cheap separately). All sorts of stencils, etc. - absolutely not needed.

The form factor is either like a dremel or a grinder with a flexible shaft - has not yet decided.

Dremel is considered a classic in this area, but somehow I’m not yet mentally ready to give the amount that they ask for it for this tool. Although specific indications of certain models of dremel, the power of which is enough for my tasks (200? 300? 3000?) are welcome.

I touched several Chinese ones in the store for ~ $ 15 - this really doesn’t matter, I stop the nozzle at full speed with my finger.

On the Internet, in several video reviews, some men praised the Zenith ZG-250 (~ $ 30, what can you say about it ??) And the “engraving caliber set”. If you look at a grinder with a flexible shaft, I found Intertool STORM WT-0815 (~ $ 50), but it has worse maximum speed, it seems that it is not adjustable at all.

Total:Advise engraver model within ~$50, enlighten what I need, who faced similar tasks. Surely, a DIY lover does not do everything with a manual needle file;) Ordering something from a normal online store is also an option.

For some reason, all these "Zeniths" are one to one with a hundred more similar "trademarks". We have all sorts of Dnepro, Progress, and so on. I think this is the same device from the Middle Kingdom with various names pasted.
At one time, I also chose such a tool. You need to look at the quality of workmanship, bearings and so on. Turnovers are big. These Chinese crafts will also work for some time, but there will probably be a beating and other troubles. I ended up buying the Skil 1415 .
If you need a smaller device, then you can look at Proxxon .
The original Dremel is also of course nothing but ichmo it is greatly overrated. (But it's clear there, it's a brand.)
Look also towards various domestic drills and jewelry engravers. They usually look like “hello from the scoop”, but often contain mechanics and an engine inside that the Dremel did not even lay around.

There is proxxon, though the one I bought is more expensive. About $100. ( A few words about 240/E ).

Hmm, I looked at the prices for dremel, there is a Dremel 200-5, about $60. So it turns out there are more affordable models.

I have had a Ferm FCT-400 for several years now. Good machine, compatible with accessories from the original dremel. The power is enough to cut metal 0.9 mm, I have not tried thicker.

The same question arose recently, but in a heavier weight category. The choice between Dremel 4000 (from 160 ye) and Prokkson 240, above is a link to it (about 100 ue). Leaned towards Prokkson, better reviews on reliability and design

I have a Dremel, my friend Noname has a machine from China. To be honest, I think that I overpaid, Dremel is certainly better, but not as much as more expensive.
